UGC is production, not influence
A UGC creator sells a video the brand owns; an influencer sells access to an audience. Digitaleo's hiring guide sums it up: followers are irrelevant for UGC, usage rights go to the brand. That difference decides both your price and your paperwork.

What the market asks in 2026
All of these are published price guides from agencies and creator platforms, so read them as market asks, not statistics.
| Deliverable | Range, AED | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Entry-level video | 300–700 | Digitaleo, InfluencerMetric |
| Standard video, organic use | 600–1,200 | InfluencerMetric |
| Experienced or niche specialist | 1,200–2,000+ | InfluencerMetric |
| Photo set | 300–800 | InfluencerMetric |
| Ad-ready video with script, hooks, captions | 1,500–3,500 | Yamammi |
| Monthly retainer, about 8 videos | 3,500–7,000 | Digitaleo |
| Paid ad usage | +30–50% | InfluencerMetric |
| Bilingual Arabic–English | +25% or more | InfluencerMetric |
| Whitelisting from your handle | +1,500–5,000 | Positively Adam |
For comparison, the same Positively Adam guide quotes a micro-influencer reel (10k–50k followers) at AED 1,500–3,500 before usage rights.
Worked quote: one brief, priced line by line
A Dubai café wants 3 videos for Meta ads, English and Arabic, with 3 months of paid usage. Using the midpoints of InfluencerMetric's bands:
| Line | Calculation | AED |
|---|---|---|
| Base, standard video | 3 × 900 | 2,700 |
| Ad usage | +40% of 2,700 | 1,080 |
| Bilingual delivery | +25% of 2,700 | 675 |
| Quote | 4,455 |
Write usage as a term: platforms, paid or organic, 3 or 6 months, UAE only or GCC. Renewal of usage is a second invoice, not a favour.

Do you need the Advertiser Permit? A decision table
The NMA's Advertiser Guide covers individuals who produce advertising content on social media from within the UAE, paid or unpaid. It does not single out UGC supplied as a file. WAM adds that ads may be published only through the account registered to the permit holder. Read together, this is how the common UGC jobs sort out:
| Job | Published from | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Video delivered as a file, brand posts it | Brand's account | Trade licence to invoice; brand handles its own approvals |
| Brand runs your video as a dark ad | Brand's ad account | Same as above; many brands still ask for your permit |
| Collab post or tag on your account | Your account | Advertiser Permit |
| Whitelisting: ad runs from your handle | Your account | Advertiser Permit |
| Gifted product for a story | Your account | Advertiser Permit (barter counts) |
Neo Legal reads the regime as two permissions for creators: a trade licence and the Advertiser Permit, with brands expected to check both. For residents the permit is free for the first three years, so most UGC creators get it once and stop worrying. The full setup, with costs, is in our guide to becoming a creator in Dubai legally.
How to start
- Build 6–10 sample videos in the formats brands buy: unboxing, testimonial, how-to, before/after (where the sector allows it), a venue walk-through.
- Get the licence with an e-media activity, then the permit. See the Advertiser Permit guide.
- Find the work. InfluencerMetric lists agencies and content studios, hospitality, food, fitness and real estate brands, and creator marketplaces as the main sources of paid UGC in Dubai.
- Send a rate card with base price, usage uplift and turnaround. One line per deliverable.

What nobody tells you
- Your face in someone else's ad. Once the brand has paid usage, your face can run for months. Cap the term and territory in the contract.
- Locations need permits. A brand video shot in a mall or on a beach is a commercial shoot, whoever holds the phone. See our filming locations guide.
- Regulated sectors. Clinic and real estate UGC follows sector advertising rules: before/after and price claims are where creators get caught. Our clinic advertising guide covers the DHA side.
- Raw files are a product. Brands increasingly ask for raw clips to cut their own variants. Price raw files separately, or they leave for free.
Vladimir Chernyshev, GM: "My view: a brand that runs ads needs variants more than polish. Offer three opening hooks per video and a clear turnaround in your rate card, and you compete on something other than price."
