Influencer rates in the UAE: what a post costs by tier, and the modifiers that double it

Luxury cars lined up in the desert

UAE influencers charge roughly AED 300–2,000 per post at nano level (1K–10K followers), AED 1,500–10,000 at micro level and AED 10,000–50,000 for macro creators, according to Equinode, Yamammi and Wisdom IT. TikTok runs 20–40% below Instagram for the same tier. Usage rights for ads add 30–50% or more, and category exclusivity is a separate line.

Why every rate card disagrees

There is no official UAE influencer rate. Every number below is a market estimate from an agency or platform that sells influencer campaigns, checked on 13 October 2026. Equinode calls published rate cards "negotiating positions, not prices", and the tables prove it: the agencies don't even agree where "micro" ends.

Rule of thumb: when a creator's quote sits inside two of these five tables, it is a normal market ask. When it sits above all five, ask what's included.

Price per 1,000 followers falls as creators grow

Dividing the edges of Yamammi's Instagram reel bands by follower count shows what you pay per 1,000 followers. This is our arithmetic on a published table, not a market statistic:

CreatorReel price (Yamammi)Per 1,000 followers
10K followers, micro floorAED 1,500AED 150
100K followers, micro ceilingAED 5,000AED 50
500K followers, macro floorAED 15,000AED 30

Bigger creators are cheaper per follower but not per engaged follower. Wisdom IT puts average engagement at 8.7% for nano, 4.27% for micro and 1.5% or lower for celebrities. Ask for the creator's own insights screenshot: reach of the last ten posts and the share of audience in the UAE.

The modifiers that double the fee

Whitelisting (ads from the creator's account)+25–50%Santa Media

Category exclusivity+25–50%, or AED 2,000–30,000 per monthSanta Media, Dreamize

Stack them: a AED 4,000 micro reel with ad rights (+40%) and 90-day exclusivity (+30%) becomes AED 6,800 if both uplifts apply to the base fee, or AED 7,280 if the creator compounds them, before any agency fee. Ask for rights in the first message; Equinode calls retrofitting them after a post performs the most expensive conversation in influencer marketing.

Worked example: five micro creators or one mid-tier name

Equinode's own illustration: five micro creators at AED 4,000 each against one mid-tier creator at AED 20,000. Same AED 20,000, different outcome:

Five microOne mid-tier
Fee5 × AED 4,000 = AED 20,000AED 20,000

Total with rightsAED 23,200AED 28,000

Five briefs cost you more management time. But you get five audience samples and five ad assets instead of one. Equinode budgets a full quarter-long test at AED 70,000–150,000 including paid amplification and management.

What nobody tells you

Your brand carries the permit risk too. Since 1 February 2026, advertising on social media from the UAE requires an NMA Advertiser Permit. Fines run to AED 20,000 and then AED 50,000 after a warning; see our media fines table. Use the 10-point permit check before you pay, and put the permit number in the contract.

The creator's licence sets a price floor. The permit is free for residents for three years, then AED 1,000 a year, but it sits on top of a trade or e-media licence that costs creators roughly AED 6,000–10,000 a year. Very cheap paid offers often come from creators without either.

Barter is still advertising. A free dinner in exchange for a post counts as a paid deal for permit purposes. Product-only deals don't remove the disclosure duty.

Paid amplification is not optional. Equinode budgets AED 15,000–30,000 of paid amplification per quarter on top of fees; organic reach alone rarely justifies rate-card prices.

Questions people ask

How much does a micro-influencer charge in Dubai?

Are TikTok influencers cheaper than Instagram in the UAE?

Yes, by 20–40% for the same follower tier, according to Tikit, Equinode and Wisdom IT. Yamammi puts a micro TikTok video at AED 800–3,000 against AED 1,500–5,000 for a micro Instagram reel.

How much extra are usage rights?

Usage rights to run the content as a paid ad add 30–50% (Equinode) to 30–100% (Dreamize). Santa Media puts perpetual rights at +50–100% over standard 12-month rights and whitelisting at +25–50%.

Do I need to check the influencer's permit?

Yes. Since 1 February 2026 anyone advertising on social media from the UAE needs an NMA Advertiser Permit. Advertising without one costs AED 20,000 and then AED 50,000 after a first warning, and brands are expected to verify the permit.
