How the calculator works
It gives two numbers. The first is our price: AED 950 per shooting day from the Savage Media price list, plus third-party costs (permit, drone, talent) at what they cost. The second is the range other Dubai studios publish for the same kind of video. We took those ranges from studio price lists and pricing guides published in 2026; each source is linked under the result.
Some inputs move neither number: editing level, language versions, subtitles and the number of locations. No studio publishes reliable separate prices for them, so we don't guess. They go into your WhatsApp message and into the exact quote.
What drives video production cost in Dubai
- Shooting days. Most studios price by the day: AED 2,500–5,000 for a senior videographer's full day, AED 2,000–7,000 for a content day that yields a batch of reels.
- Finished videos. Corporate and real-estate work is priced per video: AED 6,000–18,000 for a 1–3 minute corporate film, AED 1,000–5,500 per property video.
- Permits. Filming on a street, a beach or at a landmark needs a DFTC permit: AED 520 per application plus AED 2,500 for a government location. Filming without one can cost up to AED 40,000.
- Drone. Commercial drone work needs an operator authorised by GCAA and, in Dubai, registered with DCAA. Studios add about AED 1,500 per shoot.
- Talent. A 2026 casting call paid models AED 1,800 for a 12-hour day and AED 1,200 for half a day, plus AED 1,500 for usage rights.
- Deadline. One Dubai studio charges AED 2,000 extra for same-day editing. Our standard is video in 2 days with no surcharge.
When a subscription is cheaper
If you need four or more reels a month, compare one-off shoots with Savage Story: 2 shooting days, 8 reels and 15 photos for AED 4,500 a month, AED 3,500 for the first month. The calculator shows this option when it fits your inputs.

FAQ
How accurate is this estimate?
Our number is the "from" price on the published Savage Media price list plus third-party costs. The exact figure comes in one WhatsApp message before the shoot, and it is the figure on the invoice.
Do I need a filming permit in Dubai?
For streets, beaches, landmarks and government locations, yes: DFTC charges AED 520 per application plus AED 2,500 for the location. Our free permit checker covers drones, property ads and other cases.
Why is the market range so wide?
Published prices run from solo freelancers to agencies with a crew, and a corporate film can be one interview or a multi-day production with actors.
Are permit, drone and talent costs included in your price?
Yes, at cost, as shown in the breakdown. That money goes to DFTC, the drone operator or the talent agency, not to us.
Can I put this calculator on my website?
Yes. Copy the embed code under the calculator. It keeps a credit link to Savage Media.
