Where these numbers come from

We compared seven Dubai studios that publish event video prices, checked on 13 October 2026. They are asking prices from studios' own sites and blogs, not market statistics. Where a studio gives a "market band", it is still a seller's estimate.

The two live-streaming figures differ by AED 2,000–3,000 because they describe different set-ups: an encoder on the existing crew versus a dedicated operator with a backup connection. For a paid virtual audience, take the second.

Worked example: a one-day conference

200 delegates, one stage, keynotes and two panels, a networking lunch. The organiser wants a recap film, social reels, every talk recorded, photos and a teaser to post the same evening. Built on Studio502's published price list:

Standard package: full day, film up to 3 min, 3 reelsAED 4,500
Second videographer (stage locked + roaming)AED 1,200
Full talks recordingAED 900
Same-day editAED 2,000
Event photographyAED 1,500
Production totalAED 10,100
DFTC (now the Dubai Films and Games Commission) permit processing, if requiredAED 520
With permitAED 10,620

Cross-check: Backyard Studio's full-day, two-videographer band is AED 6,000–12,000, and OneByOne's full coverage starts at AED 6,000. Our line-by-line total sits inside that band. Drop the same-day edit and photos and the same conference costs AED 6,600.

What nobody tells you

Audio is where cheap event videos fail. You need a feed from the venue's sound desk plus a backup recorder, OneByOne points out; otherwise every quote becomes a caption over silent footage. Book the AV company's time for the patch before the day.

"Edited video" without a length means one file in two weeks. Write the deliverables into the contract: length, number of vertical cuts, speaker clips and delivery time. OneByOne says that line is what separates a AED 1,000 quote from a AED 2,500 one.

A same-day edit changes the shooting plan. It must be booked in advance so the first half is logged and cut while the second half runs, videography.ae explains. Asking for it on the day rarely works.

Overtime is cheaper to avoid than to pay. If your event runs from registration to dinner, book the full day; half-day plus extra hours at AED 350 each catches up fast.

The permit applies indoors too. Skimbox notes that branded filming in Dubai needs a DFTC permit even inside a private venue, with an AED 520 application fee. See our filming permit guide. Guests who appear in posted footage are covered by UAE privacy rules, so put a filming notice at registration.

Music in the recap needs a sync licence. A track playing in the hall is not cleared for your video. Ask whether the studio uses licensed library music; Studio502 lists music licensing in its package.

Questions people ask

How much does an event videographer cost in Dubai?

From about AED 1,800 for a half day with one camera (Skimbox) and AED 2,500 for up to 4 hours with a 60–90 second highlight (Studio502). Full-day coverage with a highlight film runs AED 3,000–6,000; multi-camera days with same-day edits AED 6,000–12,000.

How much does a same-day edit cost?

AED 500–1,500 on top of the crew day in SL Media's market band, and AED 2,000 as a published add-on at Studio502. It needs an extra editor on site and must be planned at booking.

How many cameras does a conference need?

Three is the practical standard for a keynote or panel: one wide on the stage, one close on the speaker, one roaming for audience and B-roll, per Skimbox and Backyard Studio. One camera leaves the editor nothing to cut to.

Does filming an event in a hotel need a permit?

Often yes. Skimbox states that commercial or branded filming in Dubai, including inside private venues, needs a Dubai Film and TV Commission permit; the application fee is AED 520. Check with DFTC for your event type.

How much does Savage Media charge for event video?
